Video Content Creation for Service Businesses on Social Media (7 Hours plus lunch)

Target Audience: This course is designed for beginners with no prior editing experience who want to create engaging content for social media platforms.

Workshop Goal: By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • How to generate video ideas using Gemini to appeal to your target audience.

  • Scriptwriting techniques to expand video ideas into a minute-long script using Capcut as a teleprompter.

  • Techniques to enhance video and audio quality using lavalier mics, lighting (e.g., ring light or natural window light), and choosing appropriate shooting orientations (landscape or portrait) based on platform and audience.

  • Composition tips including the rule of thirds, leading lines, and light quality and diffusion.

  • Video editing skills such as transcription-based editing, adding captions, adjusting shot lengths, applying tracking points, slow zooms, brightness and contrast adjustments, effects, and removing watermarks.

  • Understanding the importance of B-roll, basic camera movements (dolly, pan, jib), and mixing shot lengths (close-up, mid, long) to create engaging videos.

  • Practical experience in filming to-camera pieces and B-roll to support video content.

  • Editing techniques including adding subtitles, overlays, adjusting audio levels, and exporting the final video.

  • How to effectively share videos on social media platforms, and using ChatGPT to assist in writing engaging captions and hashtags.

Instagram for service businesses

Target Audience: This workshop is designed for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and marketing professionals in service-based businesses who want to start using Instagram to market their business.

 

Workshop Goal: By the end of this course, you will have learnt:

  • The benefits of using Instagram for service businesses, including increased brand awareness, lead generation, and client acquisition.

  • How to set up and optimise your Instagram profile for success, including creating a compelling bio, choosing a high-quality profile picture, and using relevant hashtags.

  • How to use Reels and IGTV to create longer-form video content that demonstrates your expertise.

  • The basics of Instagram advertising, including different ad formats and targeting options.

  • How to build a strong community around your brand by interacting with your followers and providing excellent customer service.

  • How to track your results and measure your success on Instagram using Instagram Insights.

  • How to set clear goals for your Instagram marketing and develop a strategy to achieve them.

Talking Heads Videos for Service-Based Businesses (4 Hours)

Target Audience: This workshop is designed for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and marketing professionals in service-based businesses who want to create engaging talking-head videos for social media using their smartphones.

Workshop Goal: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Plan and script compelling talking-head videos relevant to your service-based business using large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Gemini.

  • Set up a simple filming environment with natural light or affordable lighting solutions for high-quality smartphone recordings.

  • Utilise wireless lavalier microphones for clear audio capture.

  • Edit your talking-head videos with CapCut, including adding subtitles for improved accessibility and engagement.

  • Develop a strategy for promoting your talking-head videos on social media platforms.
