A full-day session to plan, film, and build your content library and how to create and edit
Service Description
During this hand-on session for one or two attendees we’ll discuss: - your overall social media strategy -different styles of video content and what each type is effective for -how different content styles support different business goals -when scripted content is useful — and when natural conversation works better -when slick editing helps content, and when simpler editing is more effective We’ll also explore different filming approaches, including: -talking-to-camera content -documentary-style filming -conversational content -POV (point-of-view) shooting -behind-the-scenes content --voiceover-led videos Together, we’ll: -plan at least one month of content -shoot the raw footage for that content -edit at least two complete videos together -learn how to turn raw footage into multiple posts efficiently You’ll also learn: -practical video editing skills using CapCut or Instagram Edits -How to use lighting, camera settings and wireless mics to get the best out of your phone -how to use AI tools to support content creation and planning -how filming with another person can create more natural, engaging content -ways to make content feel more authentic and less forced By the end of the session, you’ll leave with: -a bank of original footage -clearer content ideas and strategy -practical filming and editing skills -a month’s worth of content planned -the knowledge to continue creating and editing content This is a practical, hands-on session, so please bring your own phone or recording device. Content will normally be filmed on your device so you leave with all footage immediately. If you’d prefer me to film on my own phone and transfer the footage afterwards, this can be added for an additional £15. The session location is chosen by the client and may take place in public spaces such as cafés, libraries, outdoor locations (weather permitting), suitable business premises, or hired workspaces. Sessions cannot take place in private residences.Travel outside the YO1 postcode area (York city centre) will incur additional transport charges. These will be invoiced separately and must be settled prior to the session date. Due to the hands-on nature of the training, instruction is limited to a maximum of two attendees to ensure the session remains practical, focused, and collaborative. However, during the content creation parts of the day, you’re welcome to involve additional colleagues or team members in the filming.
Cancellation Policy
Booking & Suitability All VIP Content Day bookings are subject to review. A 50% deposit and completed booking form is required so suitability and compatibility can be assessed. Submitting a deposit and/or booking form does not guarantee confirmation of a booking. Following payment of a deposit, a date may be provisionally held for review while your application is assessed. This deposit secures your selected date while your booking form is reviewed for suitability. If your application is not accepted, the deposit will be refunded in full. If your application is approved, the remaining balance will be invoiced. The booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received in cleared funds prior to the session date. Payment Terms The remaining balance will be invoiced and must be paid in full before the VIP Content Day takes place. The session will not proceed unless full payment has been received. If payment is not received by the agreed deadline, the Provider reserves the right to cancel the booking. In this case, the deposit will be forfeited. Notice Period VIP Content Days must be booked at least 1 month in advance. Short-notice bookings are not guaranteed. Rescheduling Rescheduling requires at least 7 days’ notice and is subject to availability. Requests within 7 days may incur a fee or result in loss of deposit. One reschedule is permitted unless otherwise agreed. Cancellation Cancellations made more than 7 days before the session may be eligible for a partial refund excluding the deposit. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. Deposits are only refunded if the Provider declines the booking after review. Force Majeure The Provider is not liable for delays or cancellation due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including illness, injury, travel disruption, severe weather, venue issues, or technical failure. Where possible, the session will be rescheduled. If not possible, liability is limited to payments received excluding non-refundable deposits.
